Job description

With the upcoming launch of ACC gigafactories in France, Germany, and Italy, we are looking to recruit project-minded specialists to join the core group of our launch team. This core team of experts will travel from one Gigafactory to another to prepare and assist in the industrialization and launch of new manufacturing units. We are looking for multicultural, geographically flexible professionals who thrive on taking up challenges.

In this context we are looking for an Automation Programming Engineer (M/F) with at least 7 years of experience in automation programming in large scale manufacturing projects. The successful candidate should have experience executing projects ranging from writing PLC programs, to designing and programming the layout for complex HMIs across a range of platforms.

Main missions:

  • PLC/DCS/HMI programming for projects including, progress, cost, schedule etc.
  • Review and understand control system design, process requirements, to develop software functional specification.
  • System integration, software test planning, testing, and commissioning.
  • Develop end-user operations and maintenance support documentation and procedures
  • Interface with clients to reach goals as scheduled.
  • Intervening as a problem solver and troubleshooter on the line. 


  • University Degree or engineering degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Control System design and delivery, preferably in a diverse set of roles (e.g. engineer, designer, software programmer, commissioning engineer)
  • Modern industrial control and protection systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA), and Data Historians. Experience with a variety of platforms (Siemens, S7 Omron..) preferred.
  • Software programming in ladder logic, function block diagram, structured text, and sequential function charts
  • Familiar with formal software engineering standards and approaches
  • Experience with digital communications and fieldbus technologies, networking and hardware
  • Must be well versed in current statutory regulations, industry standards and recommended practices and a practical sense in applying such references; DCS and PLC control system hardware and architecture
