Overall job function:
The Industrial Chief Engineer has a solid experience and skills in complete processes line (chemistry, mechanical and electrical scope), in the exclusive field of the Li-B manufacturing.
He manages the technical process changes on the current production lines (product change over, new equipment, process and quality improvement).
To Have skills of complete process and equipment for battery (chemistry, mechanical and electrical scope).
To define and orientate technical solutions and process design to achieve the performance target of the project.
To establish the first lay out of equipment inside the dry out
To define all measurement on products needed to characterize if process is answering product requirements
To have a knowledge of most impacting parameters on the process (or put in place Design of Experiment to define them)
To qualify and optimize the processes and equipment for manufacturing
To propose a standardization of the parameters processes, to be more robust in serial production
To build the management of the supplier’s design
To make technical decisions to ensure the results of the project
To build the technical solutions together with the supplier
To guarantee the achievement of the performance target (layout, speed, OEE, scrap)
To guarantee the robustness and maturity of the design
To solve issues and engage improvements for his field
In case of deviation, to be able to define the root cause and to propose actions plan
To ensure the achievement of the deliverables (on technical scope) for each milestone of the project
To ensure the achievement (on technical scope) of the quality gate for all the equipment suppliers
To ensure the interfaces between the equipment and the building (dry room)
To guarantee the schedule of each supplier
To manage the design of new process and equipment for the future project of gigafactories and Pilot Line
To manage and support the industrial engineers
To manage the suppliers on the convergence to target (performance, OEE, quality, safety, schedule and cost)
To manage, orientate the supplier for design process improvement
To manage the technical convergence and the KPIs of design maturity
To manage running Test and analyze the breakdown of non-performance
To ensure the FAT and SAT on time
To contribute in the design of building scope accordingly with the equipment installation
To assist Equipment Suppliers during the ramp up of manufacturing plants (Pilot Line)
To agree with R&D team and Industrial team, process parameters to be applied on equipment and identify immediately any risk in term of cost, quality and delay, in case of new product to be manufactured and anticipate these risks.
To analyze the results and if needed, to propose improvements to reach specifications or to be more stable (better yield)
To communicate and report about the results of technical convergence and maturity to the Industrial project manager and if needed to Excom members
Industrial Chief Engineer: technical knowledge and know how in battery process. Experience to design, orientate process optimization and improvement
Huge experience process engineering in cells process (chemistry, mechanical and electrical scope). Experience in LiB manufacturing is mandatory. Already started GigaFactories or Pilot Lines.
Bachelor of Sciences in chemical, mechanical or electrical processes
Well organized and extremely rigorous
Strong initiative and fighting spirit
Leadership and management of teams and suppliers
Adaptability to change and good anticipation skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to provide optimal solutions
Some extra skills which make the difference:
Previous experience in Cell Design to Manufacturing
For this job, ACC requires strong technical project leader to push the suppliers and the complete technical team to reach the project targets.
