Job description

The industrialisation engineer has a solid experience and skills managing the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of fully automated manufacturing lines, in the exclusive field of the electrical cell and battery and for his area of expertise: Electrolyte filling (manufacturing line going through several process step to fill in the cells with electrolyte in a safe and controlled way).
The electrolyte filling is including the following processes: electrolyte filling, leaktest and laser welding/sealing.
He can work with worldwide equipment suppliers and lead them to install and commission them at expected level of Quality, Cost, Performance and Delay.

Your Main Missions as an Industrialisation Engineer will be :

  • Write the equipment technical specifications in accordance with product design requirement and process technical solutions. Review and validate the specification with a cross-functional team.

  • Share the specification with potential equipment supplier during a Request For Quotation process and Analyse the suppliers technical solutions to select, in collaboration with purchasing team, the best solution in term of total cost of ownership, schedule and technical proposal.

  • Gather the relevant supplier information for dimensioning the workshop building, layout and organisation: energy consumption, floor occupation, operator times, equipment efficiency, maintenance times, component supplies,...

  • Lead the selected supplier during realization of the purchased equipment in order to respect the objectives of safety, quality, cost, peerformance and leadtime. Following the diffenrent equipment realization phases : design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning.

  • Verify suppliers and equipment compliance with ATEX requirements from Design until and of commissioning.

  • Identify any potential risks for the project and think about how de-risking is possible with the supplier.

  • Define and organize Acceptance tests with the supplier for Factory Acceptance Test ( at supplier location ) and Site Acceptance Test (at manufacturing plant location ).

  • Participate to the line ramp-up after Start Of Production to reach Final acceptance level for the equipment and transfer the equipment responsability to manufacturing team ( production, quality and maintenance )

  • Participate in changeover.

Profile


Know How

  • Leading equipment supplier

  • Project management ( KPI, schedule, action plan, reporting, escalation, ... )

  • Manufacturing equipment review, commmissioning and validation

  • Technicam knowledge in processes related to automated assembly and electrolyte filling

  • ATEX specifications and best practices


Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience working within the automated environment for automotive, batteries manufacturing and/ot general manufacturers and distributors

Qualification

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering ( Industrial, Mechanical or related field )

  • Fluent in French and English mandatory, German and/or Chinese optional

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks optional

Some extra skills which could make a difference

  • Experience in ramp up of gigafactories ( zero to full capacity )

  • Experience with distribution automation systems such as AGV and Conveying systems.
