Job description


In this context, we are looking for an Innovation Process Team Leader dedicated to Electrode Manufacturing.
Reporting to the Innovation Process Manager, your role will be to manage the Electrode Manufacturing Team in order to develop and industrialize new processes up to TRL6 (industrial prototype).

As an Innovation Process Team Manager you should be familiar with the following tasks:

The Process Team Leader...
Leadership

  • Leads ACC process innovation Electrode Manufacturing Team to design, develop, and transfer innovative processes/concepts/ideas to the manufacturing engineering teams, in collaboration with all the R&D teams.
  • Leads and provides guidance to coach and motivate the team under his/her responsibility to their optimum performance levels. Reviews technical progress and evaluates results of his/her team.
  • Motivates your team and assesses original ideas, for future patents. KPI: Patents filling, inventions disclosures, proven records of innovation.


Ressources

  • Ensures that the resources are aligned with the objectives.
  • Manages the team, sets the annual objectives, and appraises the performance. KPI: % of annual evaluations


Project Management/Content Development/Innovation Practices/Budget

  • Contributes to the development of new ideas and methods, by keeping abreast of the state of the art.
  • Proposes capex for the construction of the budget and manages the investments of the annual plan for his/her team.
  • Participates in implementation of creative approaches and participates in innovative projects.
  • Supports the teams in developing technical validation plans.

Stays on top of technology trends and developments

Technology Roadmap/Technical Expertise

  • Proposes improvement solutions of Electrode Manufacturing processes through good understanding of the fundamental technical/industrial phenomena.
  • Contributes to Innovation Process technology Roadmap. KPI: Roadmap is regularly updated.
  • Provides expertise and reviews on innovative Electrode Manufacturing processes.
  • Leads and / or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.


Eco-system/Network/Partnerships

  • Manages with contractors in its expertise and with stakeholders internally and externally. KPI: network of partners.


Intellectual Properties

  • Manages his/her team, sets the annual objectives, and appraises the performance. KPI: % of annual evaluations.


Communication - Internal

  • Manages his/her team, sets the annual objectives, and appraises the performance. KPI: % of annual evaluations.

Profile

Know How

  • Experience in mixing (batch/continuous) and calendaring.
  • Experience in electrode manufacturing
  • Product & Process approach.
  • Skills on equipment design, Process development methodology (PFMEA, Functional analysis)


Experience
10 years in a process innovation position involving management (battery/electrode manufacturing, packaging, coil coating processing, plastic industry…)

Qualification
Master/ Engineer type in Chemical engineering/Chemical processing/Plastic industry

Some extra skills which could make a difference
An experience in the battery industry is a strong plus. An experience for an equipment supplier will also be considered (calendering machine, extrusion, lamination).
