Accelerating sustainable mobility for all_

Job description

Reporting to the Industrialization and Chemical Processes Leader, you will have 2 main missions:

  • analyze the instrumental needs of the Billy Berclau Douvrin production sites
  • to implement tomorrow's technologies in terms of instrumentation

Concerning the 1st mission, you will be in charge of analyzing the need for measuring devices on the entire production line to propose an adapted solution, within the budget.
Mutualization between the different needs will be welcome.
You will start by writing the specifications of these means of measurements by taking into account

  • the needs expressed in terms of sampling frequency
  • the expected product tolerances
  • equipment tolerances (Resolution = IT/10)
  • For on-line measurements, you must also take into account the industrial constraints of the equipment.

After consulting suppliers with the purchasing department, you will be the decision-maker on technical choices and you will also take part in the approval of equipment and suppliers.
You will manage the supply of these multiple measuring devices in accordance with the schedule and costs.
Once the equipment is received, you will be in charge of its installation (including training for operational staff) and then of the maintenance of the equipment (calibration, monitoring of control cards, diagnosis of malfunctions, etc.)

The 2nd mission consists in identifying new technologies of measurements with an objective of

  • reduce costs
  • gain in precision
  • respect the rules of hygiene, safety and environment

This mission will mainly concern viscosity, density, thickness measurements, or defect detection in non-destructive testing.

This mission will require you to be aware of the technologies to come on the battery market (laser, X-ray, ...) and to benchmark with the many suppliers of measuring instruments. We expect you to be innovative in order to make ACC the pioneer in these new technologies.
