Job description

A simulation engineer is capable to create simulations models, understand and present them in order to help the factory improve its production tool.

Main missions :
-         Build digital models of production systems
-         Simulate and analyze physical flows (of products, AGVs, AMR, ...) In close collaboration with the engineering, the project teams and the factory.
-         Analyze the simulation results in order to provide answers on the sizing of the workshop (number of machines and size of stocks) and on the identification of bottleneck points.
-         Propose improvements to the organization of the plant (organization of production, flows, ...)

Profile

Knowledge / Knowhow :
Knowledge of the operation of a factory (production system, internal logistics, ...)
Knowledge of breakdown laws used to represent machine downtime

Experience :
At least some industry experience.

Self-challenge : setting goals and progressing without counting your hours
Strong curiosity and a bit of eclecticism 
Ease of communication (very important) written and oral: there is a lot of communication especially towards non-experts

Some extra skills which make the difference :
Has already used a software flow simulation software Plant Simulation. Experience in an object-oriented programming language is a plus.
