Job description

You will be in charge of :

  • Build up the team for Cells and Modules (Mechanics) for the Kaiserslautern R&D Center; Assure that the Team delivers the required results in at least required quantity and quality on time.
  • Set up the necessary facilities which includes a mechanical workshop, a module prototype workshop and possibly a 3D printer workshop
  • Manage the teams interactions in connection with TRL<7 activities in Bruges/Nersac and towards the TRL>6 for the KL customer project teams
  • Placement of cell and module delivery order to the respective location of work. Thereby responsibility to gather necessary cell production know how
  • Responsible for the ability of the team members to contribute in the customer project teams with highest competence
  • Management of technical exchange with material and component suppliers for cell casing and all outside of cell components
  • Build and be the point of knowledge in the site of Kaiserslautern for all mechanical aspects of cells and modules in Kaiserslautern
  • Responsible for all health, safety and environment legal and ACC HSE requirements for cell casing and all outside of cell components within RD once they are received until they are leaving the site for customers or handed over to the testing group leader. HSE responsibility of materials, cells and modules that are meant for disposal.
  • Assure closest alignment and information flow to the Engineering as well as “cells and mechanics” group in Expertise Center and Senior Expert for cells and module
  • Actively share best practice experience, suggestions for overall process improvements  

Profile

Knowledge / Know how      

  • Qualification processes for battery system, especially with respect to cell and module design
  • Automotive market and applicable standards and rules
  • Li Ion battery product (performances, manufacturing process, expertise).



Experience :

  • 5 years min experience in automotive cells and modules design
  • Familiarity with automotive development processes
  • Proven experience in leading a group of people to the desired results
  • Proven skills to structure and organize complex projects



Qualifications :

  • Completed University degree or equivalent, e.g. mechanical design, electrical engineering
  • Read, write and speak english and german fluently
