Job description

You will be in charge of :

  • Build up the testing and validation facilities for the Kaiserslautern R&D Center and manage the testing relationships to internal testings facilities and external testing service providers.
  • Build up and manage a team of testing engineers and technicians to provide the capability and competence to execute and evaluate testing results according to ACC standards, legal and customer standards
  • Manage the team interactions in connection with TRL<7 activities in Bruges/Nersac and towards the TRL>6 for the KL customer project teams
  • Build point of knowledge in the site of Kaiserslautern for all cell and module testing in Kaiserslautern with close alignment to the testing and validation group in Expertise Center and Senior Expert for Testing
  • Standardization, execution, and evaluation of tear down analysis and postmortem analysis of cells and modules
  • Close cooperation to maximize testing synergies with KL operations for serial products
  • Responsible for disposal of waste according to ACC and legal requirements.
  • Actively share best practice experience, suggestions for overall process improvements  

Profile

Knowledge / Know how      

  • Qualification processes for battery system, especially with respect to performance and safety testing
  • Automotive market and applicable standards and rules
  • Li Ion battery product (performances, manufacturing process, expertise).



Experience :

  • 5 years min performance and safety testing of energy storage device or other relevant technologies
  • Proven experience in leading a group of people to the desired results
  • Proven skills to structure and organize complex projects



Qualifications :

  • Completed University degree or equivalent, e.g. electrical engineering
  • Read, write and speak english and german fluently, French is a plus
